Quite Simply, Ola: LG Fashion Week Highlights

I was given the amazing opportunity to attend LG Fashion Week here in Toronto a few weeks ago. I can not begin to tell you how amazing it was. I got my hands on VIP passes thanks to the great PR team over at CP24. The atmosphere was amazing, the days/nights were filled with great fashion, beautiful models, and some of Toronto's heavy hitters in the fashion business.

Below were some of the pictures from the shows I enjoyed the most. The biggest beauty trend I saw was the attention to nail design. A move from the classic square nails to rounded tips and in-your-face nail art.

For me my favorite fashion trends were the inclusion of fur and color. Joe Fresh ignited the runways with fire bold Orange pieces, while Izma infused every design with a sleek fur piece.

The stand-out piece for me was the a printed maxi by David Dixon (pictured below), it's something I want to get my hands on. I was impressed by Klaxon Howl's line, the menswear was stunning and the execution of the runway was so creative. The boys didn't just do a classic walk, they incorporated props and told somewhat of a story.

Overall, the designer to look out for is Amanda Lew Kee her show was stunning, her pieces unique (think sheer, colorful, & flowy) & she scored brownie points with me for having all her models stomping the runway in Sam Edelman Zoyla shoes.
