LG Fashion Week

LG Fashion Week is one of the biggest days in Canadian Fashion. Top Canadian Designers show their collections on the runways in Toronto. The show is now in its 12th year and has international respect from media, buyers and fashion heads alike.

If you don't already follow me on twitter you don't know that I luckily scored tickets to all the shows during the week. I'll be attending as many as possible with my school/work schedule & subsequent blog posts will follow. I'm ecstatic!

 Izma is the opener show & I'm beyond excited to see their collection.

For those who can't make it direct to the runways there is a live feed on the website to keep you up to date.

Now I need to decide what I should wear, with this dodgy weather it will be a hassle.

OOTD - Feat. My Brother

I posted my cousin on the blog a few days ago & decided that I wanted to put my brother up too. I love his fashion sense. He is so much MORE fashionable than me and its safe to say if I was his little brother as opposed to his little sister my grubby little paws would be all over his wardrobe.

We were both heading to Uni so we're dressed pretty casual. Sam went for the monochrome all black everything look. He is the kind of guy that sticks to black, white, gray & sometimes navy.

Sunday Snapshot 11.

Told you I was in bed :)

one. I'm sitting in bed watching YouTube videos, surprisingly not makeup ones, SHOCK. I just hosted about 15 people at my place so I'm just relaxing a bit. I really should be writing a conclusion & introduction for my essay due tomorrow. Am I the only one who writes introductions last? Its worked for 4 years, I won't change now :)

two. Super long week, my mom finally got back home from vacation & I'm glad I no longer have to plan meals on top of school work and going to work :) I'm such a mommy's girl!

three. Less than a month less until I write my last uni exam. I have tons of due dates these next two weeks. But the end is so close. I cannot wait! It doesn't help that my mom brought me back the most FABULOUS dress for graduation & that Europe is creeping up on me.

four. Its pretty hard for me to do OOTD post regularly. Would you guys mind/like OOTD videos? Its just easier to show on camera, let me know. I can do videos & fit in picture OOTD when I have more time.

five. I'm really feeling the 90's look. Kar  & I want snapbacks & I really want Moesha/Solange braids :)

When I have the opportunity to work on someone else's face I jump at it. This girl here is one of my favorites to work with. Her eye shape is completely different than mine, so its always a learning experience with color placement and technique. I did a before/after shoot with her & loved it.

The luck lady above is my cousin, she is blessed to have me haha :)

 I did a neutral smokey eye on her, with a pink/purple lip. I'll list all the products below.

Sunday Snapshot 10.

too happy to function :)

one. Happiness continues this week. Cheers to that.

two. This week I'm starting a diet/fitness regimine. Really because of my vacation, but also because it will only help me to get in shape. I used to run & I'm wanting that runner's body back.

three. The earthquake in Japan totally put things in perspective for me. Life is short, are your ways right? Take a second to pray for those in Japan. If you can, make sure to donate where possible.

four. I drink coffee now like its my full-time job. I'm terrified of staining my teeth, but I NEED it with school & work to keep me going. There are never enough hours in the day.

five. This may be a slow blog week, warning in advance. But you may just get surprise though :)

My Favorite Lipsticks

Night Violet, Up the Amp, Roman Holiday, & Girl About Town

I love lipstick,  bold, brights, nudes... All OF THEM :) These are my top picks from my collection. I wear these the most & can always rely on them to look great.

I'm also looking to purchase MAC Vegas Volt & MAC Impassioned very soon.

 MAC Lipstick - Girl About Town

 Girl About Town is a bright fuchsia in the amplified cream formula. It applies opaque & does stain the lips. As it wears off during the day, you'll still have some pigmentation on your lips.

MAC Lipstick - Up The Amp

This lipstick is a amplified cream formula. Which means it applies opaque but has some moisturizing properties.  The color is a lavender violet but shows up more pink on my skin tone.

NARS Lipstick - Roman Holiday

This is my favorite lipstick in all my collection. Beats out my reds & nudes! NARS lipsticks are a higher price point but worth the price. They're moisturizing and apply evenly. This color is the sheer formula but still applies with pigmentation. 

MAC Mattene Lipstick - Night Violet

This was a limited edition shade, I wrote about it in this post. Its a great matte berry lip, that adds instant edge.

MAC Lipstick - Fresh Brew

A lustre formula which means it is not very opaque and has a glossy finish to it. The color is a great nude for WOC. Its a light creamy coffee color.

MAC Lipstick - Touch

Another lustre & another great nude for WOC but this lipstick runs more brown/red than Fresh Brew.

MAC Lipstick - Half n Half

Worn in this post, this lipstick is one of my favorite go to colors. This is a pink/brown/nude color in the amplified cream formula.

MAC Slimshine - Mousse

This is a slimshine formula which has been discontinued from MAC's permanent line. Its a true brown color & SUPER glossy. If a lipstick & lipgloss were to have a baby, this would be the result.

NOTD: San Tan-Tonio

I've been obsessed with OPI nail polishes as of late. I'm not a huge fan of their big brushes because I find application a bit tricky. But their newest collections lately have swayed me into purchasing a few colors, big brush and all.

The polish featured is San Tan-tonio, which is from the OPI Texas collection. Its a tan/nude which actually reminds me of the color of Viva Glam Gaga 2 in nail polish form. It applies evenly & goes opaque in two coats.

Katy Perry Black Shatter w/flash.

This is the kind of polish that will work well in a corporate environment but still translates well in other aspects of life. I find adding Black Shatter to the polish gives it more of the edge I like.

Spring cleaning is in full effect for me.  I've been cleaning all morning, but decided to work on a post. This is a look I wore over the weekend. I picked up Viva Glam Gaga 2 & LOVE IT. Will do a specific post just for it (it's that special).

This is the definition of a smokey eye/nude lip combo. Black eyeshadow all over the lid can look harsh at times so you MUST ensure to blend blend blend.

Sunday Snapshots 09.

Loving the big hair at the moment.

one. Shame on me. Two Sunday snapshots back to back. tsk tsk tsk. I have the same old sorry excuse that Uni occupies my life, please bare with me. Blogging is my hobby so school takes the priority. This week is just as busy, but I've made some posts that I will put up through out the week :)

two. As if I don't have enough on my plate, I've decided to dip into the world of youtube. No set date, no specific plan as to what I'll babble about on there, but I'm excited. You'll know when it happens for sure or follow me on twitter to find out!

three. I've been burning candles like crazy this week, my favorite being Bath&Body Works 'Frosted Cupcake' candle. My room smells like a bakery.

four. I've been really happy as of late, no specific reason but I'm enjoying it. Hopefully it doesn't follow with a sad spree.

five. A couple wishlist items: Tom Ford Lipsticks, this French Connection Dress & the leather vest jacket in this Roots video.
